PD-1 UAV has a modular design, all airframe parts are secured with "fastlink locks", so you do not need any tools to assemble or disassemble the drone. PD-1 drone can be assembled from the box within 15 minutes.
Modular design allows to easily and quickly replace all airframe parts, payload, and other equipment onboard. The greatest advantage of this drone is that PD-1 can be converted from fixed-wing configuration to VTOL within 15 minutes.
PD-1 UAV can carry a wide range of different payloads. The standard equipment includes a USG-212 EO/IR gimbal or USG-211 EO gimbal. Both camera gimbals feature 30x optical zoom, digital video stabilization, and target tracking. Furthermore, there is still enough space in the payload area to carry a secondary payload, such as a high-resolution photo camera, SAR radar, radio repeater, etc.
PD-1 UAS comes with an advanced autopilot system which allows making fully autonomous flights on a pre-programmed route, perform specific actions (e.g. take photos at a certain point, turn on/off equipment onboard when needed), do automatic takeoff and landing, automatic launch from a pneumatic catapult, parachute recovery, and much more.
All information from the PD-1 UAV (e.g. fuel level, engine temperature, engine RPM, etc.) comes to GCS in real-time. PD-1 can also make fully autonomous flights even when there is no connection with GCS and satellite navigation. It is ready to fly out of the box and is well-tuned for any mission.
PD-1 UAV is equipped with a quiet and reliable 61 CC 2-cylinder 4-stroke engine with a 100 W electric generator system that can power up all equipment onboard during the flight. In addition, there is an engine remote start system that can automatically start the engine in any condition.
Electric fuel injection upgrade is available for maximum performance and adds 15% more endurance. The engine unit can be easily replaced, so you don't have to interrupt drone operations for engine maintenance or overhaul. RPM, temperature, and fuel level sensors are included in the basic configuration.
Launch the PD-1 UAS easily and safely with a Pneumatic UAV launching system GLS-1A. It is designed to launch unmanned aerial vehicles with a takeoff weight of up to 40 kg at a speed of 17 m/s (61 km/h). At the same time, the launch speed of a lighter UAV can be higher, up to 20 m/s (72 km/h). Pneumatic catapult GLS-1A is capable of launching UAVs under various weather conditions and in the temperature range from -25° to +40 °C.
