The Gekata air complex based on the PD-2 UAV started flight tests

LLC "RESEARCH AND MFG CO "INFOZAHIST" has started flight testing its new development, the Gekata air complex, designed for radio reconnaissance. The complex is intended for detecting radio-emitting targets at distances of hundreds of kilometers. This development was first showcased at the Arms and Security exhibition in 2021.

Gekata made its maiden flight, taking off from a small airfield near Kyiv. During the flight, in addition to the operation of the radio reconnaissance system itself, measurements were taken to assess the impact of the container on the flight characteristics of the PD-2 UAV.

The core of the Gekata complex is a 10-kilogram container equipped with radio reconnaissance equipment, which is installed on the PD-2 drone by UKRSPECSYSTEMS.

According to the developers' concept, the entire complex consists of a ground control station and six drones with Gekata. Three UAVs are in the air at a time, rotating to ensure round-the-clock monitoring along a 100 kilometers front and up to 450 kilometers deep from the base location.
